The St. Lucie County Pretrial Release Program provides supervision of defendants who may be awaiting trial, pending violations of probation and pending appeals, while alleviating jail over-crowding. Defendants in the program undergo enhanced supervision which may include GPS monitoring, drug and alcohol testing, in-home visits and a curfew. Defendant’s participating in diversion programs such as mental health and drug court may also be put on pre-trial supervision.
