St. Lucie Clerk's office recognized for excellence among Florida Clerks
FORT PIERCE, FLA. (July 1, 2021) The St. Lucie County Clerk and Comptroller’s office has been recognized for excellence in seven categories by the Florida Court Clerks & Comptrollers (FCCC) in the first annual Best Practices Excellence Program. Among the 68 Clerks and Comptrollers in the State of Florida, just 18 offices received a Recognition of Excellence certificate in all seven categories.
"I could not be more proud of the men and women of the St. Lucie Clerk and Comptroller's office and am grateful the FCCC has recognized their professionalism, competence, and hard work," said Clerk Michelle R. Miller. "Even under the most difficult of circumstances, these individuals did the job at hand and did it well."
The FCCC established the Best Practices Excellence Program as an opportunity for Clerks to complete assessments that evaluate acceptance of certain Best Practices. The 2020-2021 Program evaluated and recognized Clerks and Comptrollers in the following areas:
- Bail Bonds Forfeitures
- Compliance Services
- Confidential Judicial Records
- Guardianship Audit
- Marriage License
- Recording Fundamentals
- Service of Pro Se Documents by Clerk
